This c.1890 transitional driver is stamped "Anderson, Edinburgh, Princess Street" on both the top of the head and on the large wooden fishing rod grip. Anderson was the only clubmaker to produce a fishing rod grip/shaft and this is one of only four I have seen. The base of the grip is wrapped with exceptionally fine thread as would be found on a fishing rod. The head is in its original finish with a few minor scrapes and dings. Overall, the club presents well.
