Paper tees, made to be disposable from the get go, did not have much
of a life span. Hence the ones that remain are highly sought after. Each
of these paper tees remains in great condition.
This lot includes:
--a three leg tri-pod "Gof Tee," with its original staple. (Folds flat when not in use.) A 1926 ad for the three leg Gof Tee notes
that it was made to fit the golf ball and sold by Edgar J. Bloom of
Tiffin, Ohio.
--a diamond or square shaped paper tee printed as a marketing device for Canton National Bank
--a round "Colonel" Tee stamped with "Patent No 190635" This is a British patent number that dates to the end of 1922.
--two "Tufts Tees" marked around its perimeter "The Tufts Tees, Made Expressively for Tufts-Lyons Arms, Co. 609-11 So. Olive St., Los Angeles
