Condie Walking Stick

Sometimes walking sticks are referred to as Sabbath clubs. To the good, god-fearing Scottish golfers of old, golf on Sunday was not an option. Today the Old Course cat St. Andews continues with that centuries old edict and is closed every Sunday. But to go for a walk and drop a ball on the ground and whack it along with a walking stick flipped around ... well, that was not really golf ;)

Made by Robert Condie, this 35 1/4" walking stick has a dot-punched bares Condie's rose cleekmark on the back of the head. Condition as shown in the images, but the ball, shown for perspective, is not part of this lot.
