This MacGregor Streamliner 2 wood was produced under a 1937 patent issued to Sylvan Crooker. Streamliners were great in theory—focusing ALL the weight DIRECTLY behind the ball—but in reality they were extremely difficult to hit with any consistency.  That, and they did not conform to the rules of golf.

The Streamliner offered here is a beauty.  No dents or dings as the club was likely used very little. All marks are strong on the brass soleplate, which is marked "2, Made By MacGregor, Crooker Patent." The 42-inch shaft and leather-wrapped grip with an end cap marked "2"  are original.

In the auctioneers opinion, this is one of the most striking clubs ever made, steel shaft or otherwise.  Its bullet design is extremely impractical yet the club is stunningly beautiful.
