This North British Rubber Company Scotty Dog advertising figure was made by Sylvac and produced under a 1932 British registered design (No 778504). This registered design number is actually found on the underside of the dog, but inasmuch as this dog is mounted to a base (not all were) you cannot see it on this particular Scotty Dog. This base, which appears to be made of wood covered with a heavy green paper covering is original to the dog and advertises the North British Rubber Company

The Dog is ceramic and measures 14 inches high. The base appears to be made from some kind of board and measures 8 x 10 inches. This example is in wonderful original condition.
